Manoir d'Apreval is a family run domain located at the edge of Honfleur, on the banks of the Seine estuary, within the Pays d'Auge area but also in the heart of the Côte de Grâce.

History

Victor Révillon came to settle here at the beginning of the 20th Century and developed on the 25 hectares around the Apreval Manor, with the help of a farmer, a traditional Normandy multi-production farm.

At the end of the century, Flavie Révillon, Victor's granddaughter and owner of the domain, decided with her daughter Agathe Letellier to specialise in refining the cider and Calvados production, by focusing on the apple production in a very specific way. In 1998, this process began with the planting of 1800 high-branch apple trees divided into 17 different varieties.

The choice of the varieties was made after a study of the nature of our soils and a thorough reflection on the specificities of cider apples. As a consequence, the 17 varieties that were chosen were carefully selected on the basis of their rich tannin content, their sugar content, harvest period, natural resistance, their Pays d'Auge typicity and their taste category.

Apple Harvesting

Today, these carefully chosen apple varieties compose our different ciders and Pays d'Auge Calvados, Pommeau de Normandie, cider vinegar and pure apple juice.

It is with this constant quality-seeking state of mind and the will to respect our land that we welcome to our domain our customers with whom we like to share our know-how and taste together our unique beverages that participate in the expression of our Pays d'Auge terroir.
